Vickie began teaching
over 17 years ago and has instructed students of all ages for several
studios and organizations throughout Indiana and Kentucky. She has
received several years of professional training from numerous dance
studios here in the Midwest as well as the west coast.
Vickie also studied various disciplines of dance through Western Kentucky
University’s accredited Dance Department. From 1993-1996 she
was a member of Western Kentucky University’s nationally ranked
dance team twice competing and placing in Universal Dance Association’s
top six teams in the nation. She completed the 2001 Arena Football
Season as a member of the Indianapolis Firebird Dance Team.
Vickie has worked with both Lawrence North and Mt. Vernon High School Dance Departments. She is also a regular dance team judge for Jamfest Dance and Cheer Events.
Since 2008, Vickie has been the local children's cast dance director
with the Moscow Ballet, coordinating auditions and directing
rehearsals for their annual Great Russian Nutcracker performance held
at the Murat Theater in downtown Indianapolis. Vickie’s well rounded experience, coupled with her energy and enthusiasm, creates a unique style and fun learning environment.
- Grew
up in North Webster, Indiana and attended Wawasee High School.
- Obtained
a bachelor degree from Western Kentucky University in Hotel/Restaurant
and Tourism Management
- Moved
to Chicago and worked as a meeting planner traveling around the
world to beautiful places like Bermuda, Hawaii, and Costa Rica.
- Had
the unique experience as an Au Pair in Brescia, Italy and still
speaks a little (poco) Italian.
- Became
a Chocolate Ambassador for the Hershey Foods Corporation and drove
the Hershey Kissmobile during the 2000 tour.
- Appeared
on the Donnie and Marie Show with the Kissmobile as well as on
Entertainment tonight.
- Performs
as an illusionist with Magician Sean Scott and appeared on a Discovery
Channel special about Houdini.
- Married
